RL Wheeler works at the rupture points of genre and discipline. Their writing appears in Waxwing, The Journal, Southern Humanities Review, wildness, Foglifter Journal, Gigantic Sequins, and The Shade Journal, among others. Their creative work and research have been supported by the Bucknell Seminar for Undergraduate Poets, the Howard Nemerov Writing Scholarship, the Pembroke Center, and the Swearer Center for Public Service. A Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee, RL is also an editorial assistant and poetry reader for Split Lip Magazine. They live and think on unceded Lenape land (so-called NYC).
